My Story

Why I Started Toya’s Hydration Station‍ ‍

From survival to service — my journey to health and healing.

A Diagnosis That Changed My Life‍ ‍

In 2006, I was diagnosed with lupus in my early 20s. Young, in denial, and overwhelmed, I faced countless hospital visits, weight fluctuations from steroids, and triggers that could flare my condition—all while taking up to 27 medications daily. Despite the challenges, I chose not to let it break me.

Faith That Sustained Me‍ ‍

My strength came from what I call “crazy faith,” passed down by my grandmother, Pastor Elsie Pruitt. She always reminded us:

“God is with us, even when no one else is.”

That faith kept me going.

Losing My Grandparents, Finding My Purpose‍ ‍

In 2020, I lost both my grandparents within six months. My grandfather, McKinley Pruitt, passed from health complications, and my grandmother, battling cancer, died after being severely dehydrated during COVID—due to medical neglect. I tried every natural remedy I could find, but grief and depression hit hard. Yet, I learned: even in pain, life moves forward.

My Wake-Up Call‍ ‍

In June 2022, I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure caused by severe fluid retention. That moment was a turning point. I committed to change:

- Cut dairy (hard but worth it)

- Started intermittent fasting

- Embraced sea moss, juicing, and a plant-based approach

At my heaviest, I weighed 347 pounds. Today, I weigh 200 pounds, choosing natural methods over quick fixes like Ozempic—believing that real healing comes from faith, hard work, and consistency.

From Healing Myself to Helping Others‍ ‍

By March 2024, I was making fresh juices not only for myself but also for friends fighting cancer. I realized—this isn’t just a health journey; it’s my calling.

Building Toya’s Hydration Station‍ ‍

Now, our products are stocked in local herb shops and wellness centers, and we’re just getting started. My goal? To be in 3–5 more stores by 2026—and eventually on Walmart shelves. Fun fact: My nieces and nephews named the business and designed the logo. Dream big, they said—and now, it’s happening.

A Personal Mission, Inspired by Loss‍ ‍

In March 2024, I lost my brother, Tavares LaScott (TL), to complications from diabetes and stress. His blood sugar was nearly 1200. His lifelong struggle with food and health fuels my passion to help others.

This Is More Than Juice‍ ‍

Toya’s Hydration Station is healing in a bottle. We use real fruits, vegetables, and genuine care in every mix. Our mission? To help you feel better—naturally.

So… How many cups of fruits and vegetables have YOU had today?
